Our family office has been banking with one of the major four banks for decades, for our operating businesses, property development, investment and private transactions. After being strong believers in “relationship banking” for many years, and primarily using our same bankers for every deal, we began to realise that we could no longer rely on our name, our reputation, our history nor the particular property development, to secure finance. We decided to use Thatcher Finance to take our project to tender amongst a number of banks. We quickly found out that every bank had very different appetites, requirements and lending levels. Since that project, we have used Barry to go to tender on each of our five property development deals, and have had remarkable results.
